Currently, the Presidents Forum is conducting a series of collaborative convenings with higher education institutions and stakeholders to address the challenges and opportunities of developing an agile and resilient workforce for the future of work – with a focus on those with the greatest need.

Held over 18 months, the purpose of these meetings is to share ideas, actions, and practices shaping the future of higher education. Our goal is to create a set of resources and tools for institutions and stakeholders to support students’ career advancement and personalized pathways to success and ensure higher education delivers on its promise for a skilled and trained workforce.

The title, Learners First, was chosen because it embodies the primary outcome of the entire series: designing and building a system of higher education that puts students at the center, and enables a more equitable recovery in the wake of the pandemic.
